If you’re coming on foot, we’re a short 5–10 minute walk from Barkston Ash village, and around 20–25 minutes from Church Fenton train station.
There are also two main bus routes that stop in Barkston Ash. You can check out the latest bus info here: northyorkstravel.info/place/barkston-ash

At the moment, we don’t have toilets or refreshments available on site—so it’s a good idea to plan ahead before you visit.
That said, there are some lovely local spots nearby where you can grab a coffee or something to eat.
If you're looking for recommendations, just ask—we’re always happy to share our favourites!

Our field is fully open to the elements, so come dressed for the weather—layers, waterproofs, sun hats… whatever the day calls for! It’s always worth checking the forecast before you set off.
We don’t use pesticides and love sharing our space with local wildlife, so on warm days, you might want to wear long sleeves or bring some insect repellent (and don’t forget the sun cream!).
The ground is uneven and muddy if it’s been raining, so we recommend flat, closed-toe shoes—wellies are always a winner in our book!
You may also wish to wear gloves while cutting, especially if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies.
-
Yes, visits are currently by appointment only. We may open up for general visits on set days in the future—but for now, please book in advance.
For our PYO events, you can book directly through the PYO page on the website. We’d love to see you there!
If you’d like to arrange a visit outside of a Pick Your Own event, just get in touch via the Contact page and fill in the form.

We host several PYO events throughout the season, which you can book via the PYO tab on our website.
Each booking includes 1 hour of entry for up to 2 adults (and a maximum of 2 children under 10). Please note that children must be supervised at all times.
You’ll get a bucket with water and a pair of snips to use during your visit. Ellie will guide you around the field, showing you how to cut and care for your flowers.
If you’re picking flowers for a special occasion, Ellie can recommend the best blooms—whether you want long-lasting flowers for home or show-stoppers for events.
Extra buckets are available to buy on site on the day, subject to availability at £10 each (we can take cash or card payments in person for these).
Don’t forget to bring your own container (like a tall bucket) to carry your flowers home.
-
We grow fresh, seasonal flowers here on the farm; working with Mother Nature and whatever challenges or blessings she may bring us!
Because of this, we can’t guarantee specific flowers or colours, but we work hard to offer the best variety possible for the season of your visit or event.
Want to see what’s currently blooming? Check out our updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages!
-
We don’t currently offer a dedicated service for mixed buckets for weddings and events—but it’s definitely something we’re planning for the future!
In the meantime, feel free to get in touch with us. We’d love to see if we can help bring some beautiful flowers to your special day.
-
We hope to see you at our events, but we understand that plans can change unexpectedly.
If you need to cancel, please let us know before your scheduled arrival time to be eligible for a refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made after your booked time won’t qualify for a refund.
-
We’re an eco-friendly farm, so we don’t use any chemical preservatives or flower food on our blooms.
How long your flowers last can depend on a few things, but with a bit of TLC, they should stay fresh for about 4 to 7 days.
We’ll show you how to care for them when you visit, and you can also check out our flower care page on the website.
Plus, we’re putting together some printed care tips that will be ready soon!

We love having well-behaved dogs here! Just keep them on a short lead at all times while you’re on site.
It can get pretty hot in summer, and there’s not much shade for your furry friend, so please keep that in mind.
There may be other dogs about, so please keep an eye on yours.
And of course, please be sure to pick up after your dog and take any mess home with you.
Since there are horses next door, if your dog gets easily excited or might scare them, it’s best to leave your dog at home.
-
To keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that there’s no smoking or vaping anywhere on site.
Thanks for your understanding!
